Refund policy
OVERVIEW
This Refund & Exchange Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing product returns, exchanges, and refunds for purchases made from Modern Home, whether through our website or physical store. This policy is established in accordance with applicable laws in the State of Kuwait, including Law No. 39 of 2014 concerning Consumer Protection.
By purchasing from Modern Home, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
SECTION 1 – RETURN & EXCHANGE ELIGIBILITY
Customers are entitled to request a return or exchange within fourteen (14) days from the date of delivery. To qualify, the product must be unused, in its original condition, free from damage, and include all original packaging, accessories, and proof of purchase. Modern Home reserves the right to reject requests that do not meet these conditions.
SECTION 2 – NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Customized or made-to-order products, including items manufactured in specific colors or configurations requested by the customer, are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund under any circumstances. Additionally, items purchased during sale or promotional periods are non-returnable and non-refundable.
SECTION 3 – RETURN PROCESS
Returns may be completed in-store or initiated online. For online returns, customers must contact info@modernhomekw.com to request approval. Once approved, instructions will be provided, including shipping label and associated costs. Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
SECTION 4 – SHIPPING & DELIVERY COSTS
Delivery charges are non-refundable. For returns not related to defects or errors, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. In cases involving defective, damaged, or incorrect items, Modern Home will bear all associated delivery and return costs.
SECTION 5 – DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS
Customers must inspect their order upon delivery and report any issues within 24 hours. If a product is confirmed to be defective, damaged, or incorrect, customers may be entitled to a replacement, exchange, or refund. Modern Home will cover all associated delivery costs.
SECTION 6 – EXCHANGES
Modern Home does not offer direct exchanges. Customers must return the original product and, upon approval, place a new order for the desired item.
SECTION 7 – REFUNDS
Once a returned item is received and inspected, customers will be notified of the approval or rejection of their refund. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method only. Refunds are typically completed within ten (10) business days, excluding bank processing time.
SECTION 8 – RIGHT TO REFUSE RETURNS
Modern Home reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the specified conditions, including products showing signs of use, damage, or missing components, as well as cases of suspected misuse or abuse of the return policy.
SECTION 9 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Modern Home shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products. Liability is limited to the value of the purchased product.
